How and Why to Craft a “Why I Write” Statement
Have you ever asked yourself this question: Why do I write?
What Is Your Story?
Words are the most powerful tool we have. Lives have been built and destroyed by them. Stories and memories live on because of them. Legacies are made from them. In all the work I do as a writer, editor, writing coach and mentor, my everyday goal is to connect people through story and expression. We talk about your creative vision – for your work, for your company, for your brand – and identify specific steps for how to achieve that vision.
Free write-ins take place on Zoom the first Wednesday and third Thursday of the month. Get on the list to receive email updates about upcoming Write-ins and the Zoom link! The idea behind a write-in is that it provides structure and accountability for a craft that is all-too-often lonely and lacking in peer support.
SUBMIT IT!, a free monthly online writing meetup gives writers the space and opportunity to learn about submitting work to literary magazines and publishers, draft query letters and submit their work. Sign up here to receive monthly email reminders with upcoming dates, plus the Zoom link to join!
