A legacy letter offers a permanent piece of communication to those whose lives you have impacted. It may be the most valuable letter you will ever write. It is a heartfelt note that broadly communicates your love, affirmation and hope for a loved one/loved ones. A legacy letter is broken down into six parts, each optional, where you can share information, wisdom, advice, memories, stories and/or wishes important for your loved one(s) to know and remember after you’re gone. It is a powerful way to share with family and friends what is most important to you and why.

There is no “one” way or “right” way to craft a Legacy Letter. Because everyone’s life experience is different and every relationship unique, we can create a customized Legacy Letter plan to fit your particular situation. Want to share a heartfelt message that captures your personality and voice on video rather than writing? We’ll help you craft the script and arrange recording session with our videographer. Want to write individual letters to more than one person? We can help you determine who to write to and what to say. Individuals and families who are comfortable writing their own letters or who are just getting started on a Legacy Letter. The question list is also a terrific brainstorming tool to help you think through what final words you want to leave with your loved one(s) and why.

A 1-on-1 Legacy Letter Consult gives you the time and space with a trained wordsmith and writing coach to critically think about what words, wisdom, advice, praises, etc. you want to leave with your loved one(s). Use the Question List to help you outline an initial Legacy Letter draft, or bring the Question List with you to your consult to work through with Kate or another trained coach.
PERFECT FOR:
Individuals and families who could use some extra support and accountability when it comes to putting meaningful thoughts on paper.

Includes Legacy Letter Question List and Consult to outline a script and determine video shooting location, plus a two-hour video shoot where you, the Legacy Letter writer, will verbally share your Legacy Letter.
PERFECT FOR:
Individuals who are more comfortable speaking than writing; those who want to share their words in their own (literal) voice.

Seminars generally run two hours and include the Legacy Letter Question List, tips for clearly communicating to your loved one(s) and ample time to work on your own Legacy Letter draft.
