I live in Ohio but drive to Iowa for a week of immersion in writing — the stimulation of discussing writing with others who love it, of creating short pieces once or twice a day that serve as seedlings for later works & of discovering new writing topics I hadn’t considered before. That single week recharges my writing energy & reminds me that along with all the other things I am in life, I’m a writer.

I have been able to pitch some of my projects to agents/& publishers. It has boosted my confidence quite a bit attending these conferences even if they were all done online. But my favorite part about these conferences is creative Christian’s sharing Christ. If anyone interested in writing hasn’t been to a writing conference of any kind, I would encourage you to try it.
