Description
INK: AN ANTHOLOGY celebrates print media and how the people and publications that comprise them build community, create change, mark local milestones and more. My essay, “Tracing a Community in Conversation,” chronicles the 115-year history of my hometown newspaper, The Pinedale Roundup, in Pinedale, Wyoming. From the strong belief in the early 1900s that a newspaper was a critical component to defining a town to the cavalier takeover of the publication 100 years later by a local businessman, the evolution of The Pinedale Roundup and its role in the community is rife with history, drama and wild stories.
